Oliva Serie G
From a family whose history growing tobacco in Cuba goes back to 1886, we get a superbly produced and wide ranigning line of cigars made in Nicaragua. Oliva is also responsible for the Studio Tabac line as well as Nub and Cain. They have been at the forefront of innovation in premium cigars at an affordable price for the last number of years.
When first looking at the Oliva G Maduro, you see a nice almost black oily finish in a well made cigar. The cigar clipped easily and was soon ablaze. It is a boxed pressed beauty the had rich voluminous smoke.
The stick started out spicy and hot, but, by the 5 minute mark it had cooled down. The predominant flavors were of coffee and cacoa(lovers of mocha should really enjoy the flavors). The cigar finished smooth and creamy.
It is a well constructed cigar which burned evenly and held a nice light grey ash.
At, $5.00 this cigar is right in the sweet spot for price. It consistently delivers the value that Oliva is known for. As you can see from the ratings, I really like this smoke.
