Brickhouse is just that!

Brickhouse ToroSometimes you don’t know what to make of a cigar.  You light it, and enjoy it and only then do you form an opinion.

So it was with this cigar.  Taking it our of the humidor, I noticed a slight crack in the wrapper at the foot but this was probably because it was obtained at a trade show.  Fortunately, this seemed to have no ill effects on the beautiful oily cigar.  It had a nice oily shine and felt, well, great.

Brickhouse in mid smokeIt lit esaily and drew well and after the first half inch the flavors were spicy.  About 10 minutes into the cigar the flavors mellowed out a bit with a nice earthy tone and just a hint of sweetness.  I was reminded of the cool days in New England and maple running in the syrup stills.

The cigar continued to smoke nicely.  about halfway, I was called to a phone call and had to relight.  The cigar suffered no ill effects.  The predominant flavors were of apple wood, spice and just a bit of sweetness.

I really enjoyed this stick.  It not only had the ‘brickhouse’ punch of a Nicaraguan puro, but also a nice sweet and spicy after taste.  It was only later did I learn of its price, around $5.00.  This makes it a great value.  It provided a pleasant afternoon smoke and I would highly recommend it.
