Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial

Jaime Garcia Reserva EspecialI like dark cigars.  So it was with some anticipation that I took this stick from the humidor.  It is made by Jaime Garcia, son of the master Don Pepin Garcia.  The cigar is made In Don Pepin’s factory with Jaime in charge of this line.  When I unwrapped the cigar I found a nice oily Connecticut Maduro wrapper smooth and velvety to the touch.  It looked like a great stick.

The cigar lit easily and drew well.  Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial enjoyed to the endIt gave of a peppery taste at first but that quickly morphed into a rich full bodied espresso flavor.  As I continued to smoke, and the cigar lasted over an hour the spiciness became more predominant but the rich coffee flavor never left.

This cigar is well made.  I smoked outdoors on a windy day and the edge remained crisp throughout.  I never felt it burn hot or fast, a tribute to fine cigar rollers.

With its strong flavors this is very much an after dinner cigar.  It should be enjoyed with good friends and great spirits.

At $7.25 this is a little more than many want to spend for an everyday cigar.  While the flavor is nice the price is a bit high, but there is still nice value to the stick.

Jaime Garcia makes a nice full bodied cigar worthy of a try.
