Island Blendz a Mellow Mild Cigar

I’m not sure what to say about a cigar that I know so little about.  First, this cigar was given to me by someone at TPE in Las Vegas a few weeks ago.  They provided no literature of other info. When I searched online I found a site that says they are manufactured by Leuzzi Fumar Cigars.  Their website has a nice picture and some info about the cigar, but nothing about where you might get them.  Despite all of those drawbacks, I lit up.

Obviously, the cigar come encased in a cedar spill that rises to just below the band line.  This provide a nice cedary aroma to the cigar before light.  The cigar was easy to light, but did not light evenly.  It did even out after a few minutes.  Whatever harshness there was in those first few puffs was gone within 5 minutes.

This stick smoke fairly evenly throughout its entire hour and a quarter plus.  The flavor was mellow, but one note.  When I look for a breakfast cigar, I am looking for a lightness and creaminess on the palate.  Here the cigar was light but not creamy at all.  It was as though the single flavor was of light hay.

All in all, this is not an unpleasant cigar.  If it retails for between $2.50 and $3, then the value will be fine.  Anything more would be too much to pay.
