San Lantano Connecticut
AJ Fernandez is known for making strong cigars and this blend proves his versatility. This is an exceptionally mild and smooth cigar that is beautiful to look at and smoke. Upon first inspection you notice both the elegant double band and the rich light brown color. It’s hard to find any veins in this stick and it has a great feel in your hand.
I cut and lit the cigar easily and it drwe well. The stick produced lots of smoke but was mld from the go. There was no bitterenss or fire in trhe first few puffs. The cigar is very well constructed and burns with an even edge through teh entire smoke.
Flavor wise I got lots of cream with a slight toast hint. For a moment I had an unusual flavor that was hard to identify but it went away never to return. The cigar never became hot or spicy. The entire stick was mellow and light. About 60% into the cigar I was called away from my smoke and set the cigar aside expecting to return in a few minutes. Unfortunately, I was done for the evening. Rarely will I relight a cigar that has sat for a few hours, let alone overnight. But I decide to give it a try, thinking that I would base my review only on the first smoke or light another fresh cigar. After relighting, the cigar resumed it’s nice light and easy draw, had no bitter start-up, and was mild and creamy through the end.
If you are looking for a full bodied or after dinner stick, this is not your choice. But for breakfast or as an introduction to premium cigars this is a great choice. And at teh price offere it’s a good value.
