Fonseca Cubana Limitada
I really didn’t know much about this cigar until I did my research for this review. It was a cigar in the humidor that I must have received at an event. The size intrigued me as it was a small belicoso and looked like it might be a nice late morning cigar. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
This is a nice looking stick. It has a dark oily wrapper with heavy veining. I clipped the end and lit it easily. The first few puffs were heavy rich peppery smoke.
The cigar is well made with a gray white ash that holds well. The draw was easy with lots of smoke. The cigar burned evenly with a crisp edge, despite my paying little attention to it as I struggled with a now defunct mouse.
The flavor of this cigar was one note. It started out peppery and continued with that same taste getting stronger as it smoked. It had a slightly bitter but not offensive twinge to it.
At over $6.00 the value is questionable. I would have enjoyed this little powerhouse more if there nuance to the flavor or if it had been a little less expensive.
