Ortega Cigars Announces Line Extension

Eddie Ortega, a nice guy who I have spoken to and expect to meet sometime soon, has announced that he is releasing a natural wrapper version of the Serie D.  This cigar will feature a Ecuador Habano Rosado wrapper with binder and filler from Nicaragua.  Look for this stick within the month.

Alec Bradley Announces American Sun Grown

After the success of American Classics, Alec Bradley has announced that they will release a sun grown version.  This should have more spice and will be available in a variety of sizes.

Padilla Restructures

Padilla Cigars quietly discontinued all of its cigar production last fall.  The company felt that they had lost value as they were heavily discounted by the catalogs and on-line.  This doesn’t mean they have left the cigar business.  Rather, they have recreated their lines with new blends.  Some of the cigars will be made in Miami and others by Oliva in Nicaragua.  Look for the new sticks to be available this fall.
