Avo XO – A True Maestro
Avo Uvezian makes a great cigar. OK, I’ve said it, and I have believed that for quite some time. Now, having said that let’s get to the review.
The Avo looks great. It has a nice light brown color and a slight tooth to the feel. I punched and lit the cigar easily. It produced nice smoke right off the bat.
The flavors in this cigar are rich and buttery with a hint of spice. At first, I thought it was like a buttery French chardonnay, but as it smoked there was a distinct spiciness that developed. At first I thought mint, then cinnamon but finally I realized it was a ginger flavor. In general, I found this to be a very nice cigar.
Throughout the entire smoke it burned evenly and held a nice ash. Avo cigars are made by Henke Kellner for Davidoff and you would expect nothing less than the excellent quality that they deliver.
$12.50 is more than many would pay for a cigar. And while it is a good, well-made stick, at this price it’s hard to give it high scores for value. Despite the price, it is a very nice smoke indeed.
