Crossfire Cigars Hit The Bullseye With Its Count of San Andres
I have reviewed Crossfire Cigars for a couple of years and found their cigars to generally be above average. At the 2015 IPCPR Crossfire introduced their Library Series, a new blend aimed at the premium market segment and they gave me a sample of the Count of San Andres to review.
The San Andres was a 6 ΒΌ X 56 box pressed beauty, slightly darker than milk chocolate. It was firm and easy to hold. The San Andres uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper around Dominican binder and filler. The wrapper delivered the expected sweetness along with flavors of dark cocoa and coffee. Later some pepper appeared along with a creamy butter flavor. The smoke volume was excellent, as was the shape and color of the ash. The draw was light and airy and all of these suggest an excellent construction.
I spent an hour and 20 minutes enjoying this medium cigar and I do not hesitate to recommend it. The SRP is $11.99, a bit much for a cigar, but the San Andres is worth it. I rate it a 4 out of 5.
