Guayabera Lady

What can you say about an amazing experience?  That’s what you get when you visit the Guayabera Lady.

I am a lifelong cigar smoker, but relatively new to the cigar culture.  For years I had simply been enjoying my sticks in the peace and quiet of my own home.  But, since I have started blogging, I have realized what I have been missing.  The cigar community is small, made up of many small business people.  Lots of families, working for generations to make a simple living and enjoy their lives.  You will never meet a nicer group of people.  They have embraced me and my blog and made me feel as a part fo their extended family.

No one is more representative of this spirit than the Guayabera Lady a|k|a Berta Bravo.  I had been thinking about a shirt for some time and when I saw her at the recent trade show I decided now was the time.  Unfortunately, there was no time at the show.  Since the Guayabera Lady is located in Miami, I thought that I would visit when I was there for other business.  That opportunity came about 2 weeks ago.  I entered her beautiful shop as a stranger and left a friend. She showed me shirts, talked about cigars, and people.  She knows everyone and always wants to make sure that people are introduced to help each other in business.  Long before we called it networking, it was called community.  And The Guayabera Lady is definitely part of the cigar community.
