Now Serving Table 36

Fellowship From what I can gather from the internet, several fellows in Missouri (the show me state) met monthly at table 36 in some St. Louis steakhouse and enjoyed cigars and each other’s company.  After solving the world’s problems, as cigar smokers do when they gather together, the discussions turned to an easier subject, cigar tobacco blending, and soon thereafter Table 36 LLC was born.  The fellows at Table 36 wisely partnered up with Alec Bradley, a well-established producer. They spent a year on establishing the blend and then began production in Bradley’s Honduran factory. In 2012, their first cigar, Fellowship, was launched. The Fellowship comes in 4 sizes – corona gorda  5.5 X 46, robusto 5 X 50, toro 6 X 60 and a unique V58 6.5 X 58.  The Fellowship is aimed at smokers who enjoy medium bodied cigars.  I visited Table 36 at the 2013 IPCPR and was given one for testing – the 6 X 60 toro.  The Fellowship has a Nicaraguan long filler with Honduran seco and viso leaves, a Criollo 98 binder, all wrapped by an Honduran Habano “Colorado Subido” wrapper. Its appearance was fine. The band for this stick was a refreshingly simple design of the company name with the number 36 dominating. The toro has a pigtail cap and was constructed well enough.  The pre-smoke aroma was earthy and it lit easily. The overwhelming flavor of the cigar was pepper but nicely done with a very pleasant aftertaste.  The draw was fine and the stick lasted 35 minutes.  At an MSRP of about $7.75 I consider the Fellowship a moderate value and rate it a 3.5 of 5.
