Psyko 7 Review and Contest
I have been reviewing cigars for may years now and can’t remember a more interesting review. Ventura Cigar is a company that has been making interesting cigars for the past few years. Based in the San Fernando Valley, just outside of LA their cigars have an LA sort of vibe. There is so much activity and new cigars at the annual cigar show, that I’ll be smoking new cigars for still several more months. One that I took out last nihgt was the PSyKo 7 from Ventura Cigar Company. I went looking for this cigar because I just got an email from them announcing a contest for Valentine’s day.
The cigar that I got was packaged in a coffin of two. It had two different bands. The larger one was a prescription label and the smaller was a typical band. The cigar looked nice but was very hard. As it smoked it softened up nicely. The cigar punched easily and lit without a problem.
Construction of the cigar was very good. Initially the draw was a little tight. But it smoked evenly and provided plenty of smoke. After the cigar was burning for a while it softened up nicely and the draw opened up.
Flavor of the cigar was very unusual. The cigar opened with a cedary taste. After the first third I detected an unusual flavor, marshmallow. After taste was very nutty. It was nice and fine. This is a good smoke.
I think there is lots of value here. The Robusto sized cigar lasted well over and hour, in fact it was at least 75 minutes. At $7. this is a very good value and nice smoke. The bonus is that there is a contest where you can win a grip of these cigars.
